Most of these vehicles will be in good shape, but some may have some problems, so unless you’re good at finding these problems it would be a good idea to take along someone who knows cars to advise you on the condition of the one you want to bid on. After all you don’t want to be spending a lot of money on a cheap car that you’re trying to save money on.

If you live in a large city or close to one you will probably find that there is a repo truck auction just about every week. If you’re in a smaller town it might be harder to find a repo auction, but if you check around the local banks I am sure you find some repossessed cars to bargain on.

The advantages of a repossessed car over just a used car or damaged cars is that it is usually a newer car that has been repossessed and since the bank is just trying to cover there defaulted loan you can usually find a better deal but don’t expect it to be detailed like it would be at a car dealer after all the bank doesn’t want to put any more cash into a defaulted loan.

So if you’re really interested in the maximum amount of savings when you start to look for your next car don’t overlook the repo’d cars and trucks that are available to you.

I was so naive not to know about these damaged cars before because these are actually been available in the market for so long. These kinds of vehicles are very suitable for students like me because of its affordability. I was able to buy one these cars with savings that I have been keeping for quite some time already. I never had an exact purpose for that money so I decided to spend it to buy my very first car.

Although I was driving one other salvage cars, the feeling of owning it is quite memorable. It didn’t matter how much the car cost. What is important is that I will no longer have to hasten everyday just to catch the bus or the train in going to school. Everyday, I will be able to save money on fare. Instead, the transportation budget will be spent on gas. For a working college student like me, salvage cars are angels. Now, I have total control of my time when going to school and when going to work.

These damaged cars are repairable. Although the car was in good condition on that day that I bought it, I wanted to make it more customized and put my personality to it. So, I brought my vehicle were all the repairable cars are placed and had it repainted with the color of my choice. With some extra money saved up, I was able to get speakers and car audio systems and had it installed. This would be great for joyrides.

What I noticed with the salvage cars available in the car shop is that these are mostly the ones that belong to good makes and models. These makes are proven to be of highest performances so I will be sure that I will not have any problems on the road while traveling. There are even damaged cars being sold that can already be considered as vintage.

For now, I am very pleased with salvage cars because I own one of them. However, I am still hoping to buy one of those better cars which are considered as vintage. With patience and perseverance and some saving, I’m sure I will be able to have one of those soon.
