Christian counseling
Christian counseling is a type of counseling which is carried out in the circle of Christian principals. Religious questions do come in the process but the overall it is bigger than just calcifying people’s views on religion.
It is based on helping people see how great their lives can be if they choose the right path. It is about helping people overcome their social, religious, personal and emotional problems. Like regular counseling, it is a whole process which is normally completed over weeks or months. Having said that, it depends on how you proceed with the job. There are various Christian universities that offer specialized courses and they are more than useful if you want to pursue this as a full time job.

Job outlook
Christian counseling is a bit different from regular 9 to 5 office jobs. In this job, you get to meet new people; you get interaction on many different levels. The job requires connecting with people and results are apparent but not measurable like a balance sheet of a telecom company.
The job contains a lot of responsibility. People coming to seek counseling expect a lot and you must be ready to deliver.
The job can be done in various capacities. It can be a full time venture to part time or secondary jobs. The options are many; it’s up to you what you want to choose.

Getting jobs for counseling is very simple. Log on to internet and type the kind of job you are searching for. You’ll find thousands of results. These will include different websites, job ads, posting, directory listings etc.
Other than looking online, you can physically look for jobs. Churches and different charity and Christian organizations regularly require counselors and you can get yourself hired. Internships and volunteer work are the easiest ways of getting yourself started. Once you get a hold of the industry, you can switch to seek permanent employments.
