If you are fed up with your HP portable printers and you’ve decided to smash them, don’t just go banging on them with a sledgehammer. This article will show you the proper way, if there is a proper way to smash them. Other articles may teach you ways on how to take care of your printer. This is not one of them. This article is not suitable for young audiences since the procedure dictated here could be dangerous.
Safety First
First and foremost, you need to be adequately suited for the task. This means that you need to have the proper attire. You need a jumpsuit, gloves, visors, and steel-toe boots. You will need the jumpsuit to protect yourself from shrapnel. You will need the gloves in case you’re using a hammer with a wooden handle. Wood splinters are not common but it’s better to be safe than sorry. The visors are needed for the same reason as the jumpsuit. One cannot be too careful with the eyes especially if you’re in the process of destroying something. The steel-toe boots is not really as important as the others are.
Remove Ink
Now that you’re all geared up for smashing your HP portable printers, the first step will be to remove the ink cartridges. We don’t want the surroundings to get messy with all the ink splashing around. If you don’t know how to remove the ink, have someone do it for you. If you don’t know how to do it and don’t have anyone else to do it for you, then at least do it in a place where it will be easy to clean. You can also wrap the whole printer with tape before smashing it so that the ink will be kept inside. But then again, it takes the fun out of smashing them.
Sledge Hammer or Hammer
Sledge hammer or Hammer. Now here comes a tricky decision. A sledgehammer is normally big and with portable printers built so small, using them might be a bit of overkill. It might take you just one hit in order to get the job done. However, that takes the fun away of having geared up for the job. If you’re a female, you may have difficulty handling sledgehammers since they are heavy. If you really want a “one-hit-kill” moment with your printer, then by all means use the sledgehammer. If you want to savor the moment, if you want to feel the rush of whacking away your printer, then use the hammer. Make sure that you hit the printers squarely on the flat surfaces. You might injure yourself if you happen to hit them at the wrong angle.
Smashing your printers is not recommended. There are designated places for endorsing used printers if you want them disposed. However, if you just want to vent some stress on your printer, which hopefully isn’t working, then be sure to take safety into account and enjoy whacking away.
