If you don't find the best spot this might be challenging to ensure your umbrella doesn't fly away. Other systems will employ stakes that pound into the sand and then get stored in the umbrellas bag or even the umbrella itself. Stakes often make the umbrella the most secure but are easy to lose after a long vacation.
Finally do consider how the umbrella is stored and how many pieces are included in the total umbrella system. Many umbrellas have built in pockets that will allow you to store the stakes if they are necessary. Also consider the bag that is provided with the portable beach umbrella. A high quality system will be constructed in a way that will make storing the umbrella easy and efficient.
