Many interior designers favour wooden blinds when it comes to decorating a new home or refurbishing an older style property.  This is because wooden blinds are versatile, come in a huge range of styles, sizes and colours and can be very cost competitive.

Timber blinds have been on the market for many years, but it is in reasonably recent times that they have been available in a large range of colours.  Nowadays you can get anything from white wooden blinds to gold timber blinds and you can get these in a range of sizes.  This makes it easier to source blinds and to be able to offer a uniformity of design throughout a home.

That does not mean that designers stick to having only blinds throughout a home.  Often blinds can be combined with curtain and drapes to provide a softer look.  Blinds on their own do give a very clean and crisp appearance which some homeowners love but which others can find a bit austere.
White wooden blinds are favoured in locations where hygiene is expected.  In bathrooms, kitchen areas and ensuites it is often a good idea to have white blinds so that they look very pristine and help the room to look uncluttered.
Wooden blinds are not that difficult to keep clean.  The best way to clean them is to give them a wipe with a damp cloth and to leave them in an open position to dry out completely.  Closing the slats of blinds that are not completely dry may inhibit the drying process and will not be good for the blinds in the long term.

It is very important to hang blinds properly, as failure to do so will result in the blinds looking unsightly and will possibly lead to them becoming damaged.  Seeing blinds that are hung properly in a room such as a conservatory for example can be very striking.  However if the same blinds are hung at different angles, they will not look at all well.

So if it is gold timber blinds for your bedroom you are seeking or white wooden blinds for your kitchen, be sure that you will be able to find them and any other type of timber blind you desire online you by ordering them through your local blinds provider.
