Celebrate Halloween this year with your neighbors. Halloween is a great time of the year to throw a block party. Block parties are a great way to meet your neighbors and make friends. Most associate block parties with summer, but who says it has to be in the summer. If you have your block party on Halloween, you can combine two fun events into one. It will allow you to have Trick-or-Treating and a great party for the adults and kids to enjoy all in one night. Another big plus to a Halloween block party is the streets would be blocked off which will give your children the extra safety of no traffic in your neighborhood while they are Trick-or-Treating.
You will need to contact your city officials to discuss their policy in barricading street for events. Also organize a meeting before the party with your neighbors to discuss the party and assign duties. Be sure to give your neighbors plenty of advance notice of the block party so they can make preparations. Be sure decorate your neighborhood with fun and exciting decorations, fun inflatable Halloween decorations are great for this type of event. Halloween inflatables range in size, style and functions. Inflatables can have lights, music and characters that are animated.
Plan contests that your neighbors can be involved in, for example the best costume, best yard display, chili cook-off or a pumpkin carving contest. Also you can ask your neighbors to make a dish or drinks that they can contribute to the food and drink table. Create fun activities for the kids to do, the Internet is a great place to find out the ordinary games that kids and adults will love to play. You also can plan to have live music, ask around maybe one of your neighbors are in a band or know of someone who is. With a little planning you can throw a great Halloween Block Party, that all your neighbors will look forward to every year.
