Goodbye Paperback Hello Kindle

I am a man with a plan, not a very cunning plan but a plan nonetheless. It involves me not having to buy another bookcase. I have five already as I do go through books at rather an alarming rate. But no more. Bookcases that is. It is time for the new Kindle 3 to make its way to my home and relieve me of losing even more wall space to an ever growing number of paperbacks that seem to divide and grow by the day, if not the hour.

I am loathe to say adios to paperbacks if I am honest bu the truth of the matter is that for avid readers it soon becomes apparent that you need to sacrifice so much wall space if you wish to store books. This is why I am finally going to catch up with the rest of the world and buy the new Kindle as soon as it comes out. I have found out that you can store 3,600 books on it so that will keep me busy for some time.

I have also found out that there are 1.8 MILLION free books available. All the classics from before 1920 are available for nothing so that really will keep me busy, probably for ever. The free books alone make the Kindle 3 worth buying and I am in no doubt that it is going to make life just that little bit easier. No more waiting for deliveries of new paperbacks. I can simply pick what I want when I am out and about or at home and get a new book direct to my Kindle in less than a minute.

To me that seems simply amazing but it is how they work and I for one can't wait to move in to the technological age and free up some space in my house. It is certainly about time and the Wife will be more than pleased too.
