Having the right jewelry display is essential if you want to make good business out of selling jewelries. There are a lot of jewelry displays in the market, but this doesn’t mean that you can just buy whatever you like. There are some things that you would need to consider before actually buying jewelry displays, and here are some of them:
The most common displays you can see are those made of leatherette and faux leather, and are often seen in big jewelry stores. If you are selling personally made jewelries out of more affordable materials, I don’t think they would look very good on these displays. If funky jewelries are more your thing, you can go for these little stands shaped out of a woman’s body instead, which compliments funky jewelries just right.
One rule for a good jewelry display is that it should melt in the background and make the jewelry stand out. If you see that the display is getting all the attention, then it’s time that you look for another display. If you are selling small pieces of jewelry, I suggest that you set them in a plain display so that they would not be drowned out. Although you can use say, a tiger- print fabric for bigger pieces; you need to be careful that it wouldn’t get too cluttered, as the jewelry pieces may not get noticed this way.
Compare several bracelets plainly placed on a table top versus those that were placed in different heights using boxes and attractive displays. Which do you think would attract more customers? Which do you think you would notice when you pass by? Aside from being visually boring, jewelry that were just placed plainly on a table would not be seen from afar, giving those with differing heights more advantage. Since jewelries need to be visually appealing for them to sell, it just makes perfect sense for you to invest in a display that would show your jewelry pieces effectively.
