It seems like there are a million websites online that offer lists of foreclosures. However, if you are looking for a free list, you may have a hard time finding it. Most such sites are fee-based. They might give you a little information for free, but if you are really interested in one of the listings, you'll have to pay in order to get the agent's phone number.

There are some sites with a so-called free foreclosed homes list that are not fee-based, but make you pay in another way, by handing over your personal information. In exchange for your e-mail address and phone number, they will give you the listing information you're looking for. Of course, then they will have you on their e-mail list and they'll probably have telemarketers calling within hours.

Before you give up on finding truly free websites for foreclosed homes, you should know that there really is at least one site out there that gives completely listings without charging a penny. You don't even have to give out your e-mail address. This site is Free Foreclosure Database.

At Free Foreclosure Database, you can find complete foreclosure listings that include all of the details you need to actually be able to contact the agent and start making arrangements to see the property. You can view the listings by clicking on the state and then selecting the city you're interested in. It would be nice if you could view all of the listings in a county or state at once, but at least the listings are free.

If you want to look at an entire county's listings without having to click on each city separately, AllHud will allow you to do that. However, this is one of those sites that will force you to give up your contact info in order to get all of the details. Only you can decide if it's worth it to you to do that.
