Starbucks remains a power player in the gourmet coffee arena and fighting for a part of the market share is what has been done by McDonald’s. They have decided to cash in on the growing coffee business by giving their outlets an image of a coffee house by having soft chairs and a fireplace to give it a cozy image where individuals can sip coffee from their cup holder. The coffee business will be a small part of the revenue that Mc Donald’s earns but this will certainly be a good effort to capture the growing business of coffee makers.
There are many other coffee shops and chains and also many other fast food outlets which are famous and run on parallel terms to Starbucks. This also increases the competition for them and this is why Starbucks has to innovate so that it can grow and maintain its popularity which it has been enjoying for many years.
