If you live in Northern Europe and you would like to go on a holiday to a destination much like Florida with its theme parks, consider that just a two hour plane ride away is Benidorm in Spain with its four theme parks.
The theme park of Terra Mitica is located on the hill sides of Benidorm and is an ancient world themed park with roller coasters, rides and live entertainment with fun for old and young. What is special about Terra Mitica is that many of the roller coasters are unsuitable for small children but there are mini replicas for the youngsters to enjoy as well as adults who just don't need that much adrenaline rush.
The theme park of Terra Natura is situated a couple of roundabouts away and is an animal zoo which is a natural habitat based theme park which is educational and fun filled with live entertainment. Part of the park has been made into a water park with a separate entrance called Aqua Natura with rides, flumes and children's activity pool. Face painting and donkey rides are also available at certain times of the day. Swimming with sharks is also available for the brave.
Mundomar can be compared to Sea World, it has a dolphin show with synchronised swimmers, a parrot show and a seal show. Not to be missed is the galleon where you can watch the dolphins under water in their natural habitats. There are many exotic birds such as flamingos, owls, penguins and turtles and play areas for the children to make the most of your day out.
Aqualandia is a water park with over thirty rides and flumes of which the most important and scary is the kamikaze ride. There are also rides for small children such as the mini zig-zag. A large pool with slides and activities for the non swimmers provides hours of fun. The height requirement for most of the rides is 125cms the height of an average seven and a half year old.
Either as part of your beach holiday or as a main focus for your vacation the theme parks of Benidorm makes for great days out. No other tourist resort on Spain's Costa Blanca has any theme parks so for Benidorm to actually have four makes it a unique destination. As well is the theme parks Benidorm is the busiest tourist resort on the Costa Blanca with many fine beaches.
