The desire to open your own psychic business should be at its base a decision to help others. Psychic jobs are in a service industry, and if you can make money while you're in it, that's great. But the measure of your success can't be measures solely in dollars and cents. No, you have to measure it in terms of helping others.
That's the challenge that faces all psychic business owners. How do you achieve that balance between running a profitable business and ensuring that you're providing the right services to the right people?
Start by recognizing that you can make a living as a psychic. And the rules for doing so are the same as any other industry. You have to work hard, follow a good business plan, know your niche, and develop and nurture your client base.
It's also important to have some long-term vision. You have to be in it for the long haul. As the saying goes – it's a marathon, not a sprint. With some patience and discipline, you'll find that time will actually strengthen your business.
What about naysayers – whether they simply doubt you can earn a living or they doubt your psychic abilities entirely? Ignore them. Remember, the world is full of doubters. It's easier to knock something down then to build it up. Stay focused on the good you can do and the work that you want to do. This will boost your own positive energy.
It sounds hokey, but a lot of success in small business comes down to attitude. Once you've developed your business plan and you're committed to putting in effort every day, all that's left is the upbeat energy you can bring to the project. Remind yourself that you're helping people – you aren't trying to rip people off or cheapen your natural skills.
Sometimes you have to let the big questions go for a while. Are you in the right market? Is your advertising effective? That's all important, but it's possible to focus too heavily on it. Don't let yourself burn out – and don't let yourself become so riddled with doubt you can't function.
Keep your head down and your spirits up! Work hard and don't forget your long-term goals and you'll be surprised to see how fast you meet them.
